SFI Discover Primary Science and Maths (DPSM) Programme
We act as Education Specialist (in collaboration with H2 Learning) on DPSM, part of Science Foundation Ireland’s Education and Public Engagement programme. We are involved in development of resources for teaching through inquiry, teacher CPD, development and assessment of the SFI Awards of Science and Maths Excellence and accreditation and coordination of a network of Discover Centres nationwide that offer STEM workshops for primary schools.
SEAI’s One Good Idea Project
The One Good Idea project encourages primary and post primary students to run energy and climate change awareness campaigns. Our role has involved development of the original project concept in collaboration with Real Nation. Since then we have been involved in development of content for the website, project resources and the adjudication process.
Fingal Community Maker Programme
We assisted Fingal Libraries with planning and facilitation of consultation with a range of stakeholders and the community to inform development of a Community Maker Programme for Fingal. The progamme will encourage innovation, provide equal access, support informal education and include a library based community Maker Space.
The Energy in Education Programme
The Energy in Education Programme is a partnership between SEAI and the Department of Education and Skills to assist schools in implementing structured energy management systems. We managed stakeholder engagement, developed, pilot tested, and managed national roll-out of a range of energy management supports including guides, a website, training workshops and an Advice, Mentoring and Assessment service. Since 2012 over 600 schools have availed of these supports.
